This stunning piece was purchased in Hong Kong in the late 1940s by a U.S. government employee. Even then it was a valuable antique. The carved jadeite is exquisite, showing bright green and translucent highlights. The size and quality of the jadeite is extremely rare. Photographs only tell half of the story. The gold work to the brooch and the gemstone are in excellent condition. If you've ever wanted an item that you could only dream of finding...this is it!
