This is a rare antique white jade snuff bottle. This is an extremely rare piece for a few reasons. It has a nice white jade body in fine transparent jade material with no flaws like lines, spots, or chips as its previous owners had kept it in perfect condition for centuries. The jade is very hard and refined with a natural oily feel. The style is in the Ming dynasty as it used simple powerful abstract line carving techniques. One side has the Chinese characters of “ mountains and waters, one sky” and the back has bamboo and flying birds for good luck in fortune. Two bats on the sides for the same meaning in prosperity.
The whole bottle is round with a red quartz and brass spoon.
Dimension is 55x65x15mm.
