UNIQUE One-of-a-Kind Natural Burmese Jade Carved Connected Link Long Chain Necklace Bottle Gourd, Squirrel Bird Leaves Grade A Burma Jadeite.

In many Asian Cultures, Jade is a traditional symbol of good luck and good fortune, handed down from generation to generation for positive energy, wisdom, and enhanced luck.

The links provide a total of roughly 25” of chain and hang to the chest level of an average-sized person. The main portion of the pendant measures 2 1/8” tall, is 1 5/8” wide at its widest point at the bottom of the gourd and is roughly 3/8” thick.

The design features an intricately and artistically carved bottle gourd in the center, surrounded by leaves, a Magpie (bird), a squirrel, and a smaller gourd on the bottom. Design continues to backside.

In Chinese folklore, the bottle gourd, otherwise called Wulou, is known as a symbol of longevity, improving health and protection against illnesses. Old fables speak of the Old Chinese Medicine Man using the seeds of a gourd to make pills to save his village people. The first of two characters for WuLou (“Hulu” 葫芦) has the same pronunciation as the word “protect” or “guard” (hu 护) and also the word for “blessing” (hu 祜). It is a very protective symbol, which can be used in many different areas of our life to guard us against any type of negative energy.

The Chinese magpie (xi que 喜 鹊) bird can be seen on the left middle of the pendant, with its tail wrapping around the back. The Magpie is frequently used to symbolize “happiness” because the first character xi is the same word as happy (xi 喜). Singing Magpies are good omens, meaning happiness and joy are coming.

Climbing down from the top right of the gourd is a squirrel, which can represent resourceful, organized, hard workers, who are prepared for the future (as they are known to hide nuts)

Leaves are seen as a symbol of growth and prosperity, that the things you value in your life are blooming and blossoming, whether it be money and fame, love and happiness, good family relationships, or just time spent on your hobbies.

This necklace is made from 71 expertly carved connected links, these links DO NOT open, making it one-of-a-kind and unique. Links are oval in shape and consistent in size as humanly possible. The color of this necklace is dark dark green, which looks black, but upon close examination under certain lights, especially sunlight, you may see a dark shade of green.
