YiXing clay teapot is considered the best tea container ever for its hardened clay which will bring out the best taste of tea. This one is special with its original mark on the bottom indicating it was made in the Qing dynasty from a famous teapot shop. The ultra-smooth texture and hardness are because it’s made of the finest clay material that can only be found in the city of YiXing in China’s Zhejiang province.
The almost black color of the clay is even rarer as it’s exhausted already in nature. The teapot is in the simple but always-in lines. Another unique feature of the teapot is its original brass handles which add even more complexity to making this piece a hundred years ago. The lid fits the teapot perfectly, indicating a very high grade of hand craftsmanship in this piece.
